Letter for the 2025 Elementary School Science Fair

Dear Elementary Parents,
We are excited to announce that our 2025 Elementary Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 12th from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM.
The Science Fair is not only an opportunity for students to showcase their projects, but also a chance for them to explore intriguing questions and creatively communicate their findings. This important annual event fosters our students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
We invite parents and family members to join us at HAS for this special display of our students’ hard work. Please arrive between 12:45 PM and 1:00 PM and meet in the elementary cluster room (Room 201).
To give our students more opportunity to showcase their work we have changed the Science Fair format. This year, students will give several presentations in front of their posterboards to small groups of parents, students, and teachers in a walk-through style. The Science Fair will take place in our multi-purpose room (Room 511).
Schedule for the Event:
12:45 - 1:00 PM
Parents arrive at school and meet in the elementary cluster room (Room 201).
1:00 PM
Teachers will give a brief overview of the Science Fair format.
Parents will be guided to Room 511 for the presentations.
1:15 - 2:15 PM
Student presentations begin in Room 511.
Parents will separate into small groups and rotate between different projects every five minutes.
Students will take turns presenting and viewing others' projects.
Rotation Breakdown:
Group 1: Five presentations (five minutes each, total 25 minutes).
Short break (5 minutes).
Group 2: Six presentations (five minutes each, total 30 minutes).
2:15 PM
The Science Fair concludes.
Regular school activities and after-school clubs will resume. However, if preferred, students may leave after the Science Fair with their parents.

今年的科學展將採用新的呈現方式,讓學生有更多機會展示他們的研究成果。學生將在各自的展板前,向家長、學生和老師隨機組成的小團體進行多次簡報。展覽將在多功能教室(511 教室)舉行。
活動流程:

家長抵達學校至201教室集合。
1:00 PM
為家長說明科學展的進行方式。
由老師帶領家長前往 511 教室開始參觀。
1:15 – 2:15 PM
學生科展報告在511教室進行。
家長將分成小組,每5分鐘輪流參觀不同科展報告。
學生輪流進行發表並觀摩他人的簡報。
發表流程
o 第一輪:5組簡報 (每組5分鐘,共25分鐘)
o 休息時間 (5分鐘)
o 第二輪:6組簡報 (每組5分鐘,共30分鐘)
2:15PM
科展結束。
回歸正常課程與課後社團時間。
若家長希望,學生可在科學展結束後與家長一同離開。
