Back to School Letter
Dear HAS Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We hope that all of you had a wonderful summer filled with fun activities. This is going to be an exciting new year for HAS. We are happy to announce that this is a record year for attendance and we are looking forward to growing together as a family this school year. All of the staff at HAS would like to extend a warm welcome to both our new and returning students and we can’t wait to get started!
Our teachers and office staff have been preparing for the school year all summer long and have many new and exciting things planned for you. Our first day of school is August 12, 2020. Our school day commences at 8:20AM and ends at 3:05PM. When students arrive, please enter through the main entrance. We will be meeting in the common area just inside on floor B1. All of our faculty will be around to meet students and families.
As we enter the new school year, we are facing lots of new changes and opportunities. We feel very lucky to be here in Taiwan during this time due to coronavirus, but we are still taking some necessary precautions to help ensure the safety of our students. All students will have their temperature taken as they enter the school and masks must be worn at all times (except while eating or drinking). Students should be social distancing as much as possible throughout the school day as well. At HAS we strive to ensure the well being of our students at all times.
Parents, please remember to finish the registration process and tuition payment before school starts on Wednesday, August 12 so that we can process your students’ placement in our school.
We are excited to see all the new and returning faces of our students and to have the hallways filled with the hustle and bustle that has been absent all summer. We can’t wait to get underway and are looking forward to working together to provide a safe and nurturing environment as well as a challenging and diverse curriculum.

歡迎回到2020-2021學年度！希望您們度過一個難忘又有趣的暑假。今年對新竹美國學校來說，是令人振奮的新學年，很高興地告訴大家，今年我們創下新的入學紀錄，有更多的學生和家庭加入新竹美國學校，我們期待與更多的家庭一同成長。新竹美國學校全體教職員熱烈歡迎所有的孩子們到校上課。
整個暑假期間，所有的教職員都在為新學年做準備，為學生們計劃了許多新穎有趣課程及活動。新學年開學日為2020年8月12日(星期三)，上學時間自上午8:20開始 至下午3:05結束，當天請所有的學生們從正門進入校園，教師們將在B1中庭廣場與所有學生見面。
新學年度，我們面臨著許多新挑戰及改變。此次新冠病毒大流行，很幸運台灣防疫有成，未造成大流行。但我們仍需採取一些必要的預防措施，以確保學生健康無虞。所有學生進入學校時都將測量體溫、除了進食及喝水外，必須戴口罩、在校上課期間，學生們也應盡可能保持社交距離、勤洗手。守護全體學生的安全與健康，是我們最重視及最在乎的。
另外也請家長們在8月12日（星期三）開學之前，請完成註冊手續及學費繳交，以便我們及時為您的孩子提供課程及班級的安排。
我們很開心看到所有的學生們返回校園，讓走廊充滿了整個夏天都沒有的歡樂與笑聲，新竹美國學校提供一個安全舒適的教育的環境以及具有挑戰性、多樣化的課程，期待與您們攜手前進。
