HAS Science Fair Coming Up!
Dear HAS Parents,
As we gear up for our annual Science Fair, we wanted to remind you of the upcoming dates and emphasize the importance of this event in fostering our students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Date and Time:
Elementary School: Wednesday, March 6th, 12:45 pm - approximately 3:05pm
Middle School: Wednesday, March 6th, 12:05 pm - approximately 3:00 pm
High School: Thursday, March 7th, 12:05 pm - approximately 3:00 pm
The Science Fair is not only an opportunity for students to showcase their projects but also a chance for them to delve into questions that intrigue them and communicate their findings creatively.
Every student enrolled in a non-AP science course at HAS is required to complete a science fair project. While these projects contribute to their class assessment and may lead to awards, we encourage you to support your child in enjoying the process and exploring their curiosity.
Our dedicated Science teachers have been providing guidance, support, and evaluation throughout the project journey. However, we also emphasize student autonomy, particularly at the middle and high school levels, to foster independence and innovative thinking.

新竹美國學校一年一度的科學展即將來臨。值得一提的是，科學展活動對培養學生的批判性思維和解難能力極為重要，期待您的參與，共同見證學生在這個活動中精彩表現。
科展日期和時間：
小學部：3月6日（星期三）中午12:45 - 下午約3:05
中學部：3月6日（星期三）中午12:05 - 下午約3:00
高中部：3月7日（星期四）中午12:05 - 下午約3:00
科學展不僅是學生展現專題研究的機會，同時也讓他們能深入探討引起他們好奇心的問題，並且用有創意的方式去分享發現。
在HAS非選修AP科學課程的每位學生，都需要完成一個科學展專題，當然這些專題報告對他們的課堂成績有一定的貢獻，並且也有機會能獲取獎項，請您鼓勵支持孩子享受這個過程，並激發他們的好奇心。
在這段時間，學校的科學老師也都持續指導學生，給予他們支持並評估。然而，我們同時強調，中學和高中學生需要培養自主學習的能力，以促進獨立性和創新思維。
