Changes Due to the Current COVID Situation (5/13 Update)

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Below are the updated changes to upcoming events in compliance with Taiwanese law in accordance with COVID restriction. Despite the circumstance, we are still trying to provide the best possible options for our students. Below are the outlined changes for each event. Please note that details are subject to change as we receive more information. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Spring Fair (May 15)

Spring Fair will be cancelled on Saturday, May 15 but we will be holding a HAS faculty and student only Spring Fair on campus on Friday, May 21. This will still give our students a chance to host booths and participate in activities in a safe manner. Proper COVID restrictions will still be followed throughout the event.

Senior Trip (May 18-20)

The Seniors will go on a Hsinchu county camping trip for a few days. They will be going into the mountains and will not be attending crowded areas or events. They will remain at their location throughout the entirety of the trip. Proper COVID restrictions will still be followed during the trip

High School, Middle School, and Elementary End of Year Trip (May 21)

End of year trips will be canceled at this point in time. To make up for the loss of this event we will be hosting a whole school lock-out/Spring Fair party on campus on Friday, May 21. The school will be planning activities and providing food and snacks for the students. Students will also still be hosting their Spring Fair booths. We will do our best to make this a special event for the students despite the circumstances.

5th and 8th Grade Graduation (June 3)

5th and 8th grade graduation ceremonies will take place on June 3 on campus at 3:10 p.m. in the dorm. No parents will be allowed to attend due to COVID restrictions but the whole ceremony will be live streamed for friends and family members to watch.

12th Grade Graduation (June 3)

The Senior graduation ceremony will take place on June 3 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Hotel. Only two family members of the Senior graduating class are allowed to attend the ceremony due to COVID restrictions. Proper COVID safety procedures will be followed during the event.

Prom (June 4)

At this point in time, only staff and students will be attending. No outside students will be allowed to attend. Again, we will be monitoring the situation closely and plans may have to change in the future.
