4/28 The Budjet Game

The first graders completed a Social Studies and Math interdisciplinary project by making their own game boards! In pairs, players learned about maintaining “personal budgets” by applying their subtraction and addition skills as they moved throughout the game.

The fourth graders were very generous with their time, and mentored the pairs to make sure their budgets were calculated correctly! This exercise was also a great lesson on cooperation and patience, as the fourth graders continuously reminded the players about how to correctly apply math concepts.

Well done to all of these young learners! We hope they continue this positive exchange for the rest of the school year, and continue to build on these life skills!

《預算遊戲》

老師讓一年級的孩子們，透過自己設計的桌遊，進行社會、數學二的跨科學習。他們二人一組進行遊戲，玩家在遊戲格上移動時，必須應用減法和加法來維持個人預算。

四年級的孩子們特別參與遊戲，幫忙指導一年級的學弟、妹們，確保他們計算方法正確。這個遊戲除了訓練團隊合作，還需要耐心及細心。四年級孩子們不斷提醒著學弟妹們，如何正確的運用數學計算方法，來進行遊戲。

不得不說，這二個年級的孩子，真的是太棒了！希望他們可以繼續這樣正向互動，積極學習生活技能，直到學期結束。
