3rd Graders Test and Redesign Rafts in Science Class

In third grade science class, the students used the engineering design process to build rafts 🛶 and test how much weight they could carry before sinking ⚖️. After considering how they could improve the rafts, the students went back and redesigned them 📝 before retesting them in the water 🌊. After completing this process three times, we could see significant improvements in the design of their rafts and how much weight the rafts could carry before sinking 💪


三年級的科學課中,學生們使用工程設計過程來建造筏子🛶,並測試它們在承受多少重量後會下沉⚖️。思考如何改進筏子後,學生們回去重新設計了筏子📝,然後再次放入水中測試🌊。經過三次這樣的過程後,我們可以看到他們的筏子設計有了明顯的改進,筏子在下沉之前能承載更多的重量了。💪
