3/16 Elementary Market Day

On Friday, March 15th the 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade classes worked together to host an Elementary Market Day during our school lunchtime. This collaborative group social studies project gave the students an opportunity to use what they’ve learned in class about goods and services to create mini business stands and raise money for a great cause. 

The students spent the past few weeks planning, organizing, promoting, and finally running their special event. They created their own fun market games, as well as sold banana bread, popsicles, and lemonade that they made. Other HAS students and staff were able to buy their goods and play their games to win tickets that could be exchanged for prizes.

These elementary students were able to raise an amazing 18,875nt to donate to PACK Taiwan that will help hundreds of dogs in need. Not only did they work hard and enjoy their project, but they also learned how rewarding it is to give back to the community. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work and are appreciative of all the support they received from the entire HAS community!

3月15日(星期五)一、二、四年級的在午餐時間舉辦了小學市集日。藉由社會科學習的機會共同合作，讓學生們運用課堂上所學的有關商品和服務的知識，設立小型攤位，為一個偉大的目的籌集資金。

學生們過去幾個星期一直在計劃、組織、宣傳，最後開展了他們的特別活動。他們設立了有趣市場遊戲並銷售他們製作的香蕉麵包、冰棒和檸檬水。其他學生和教職員購買他們的商品，並在他們的遊戲攤位消費以贏得可以兌換獎品的票券。

人驚人的是這些小學生籌募18,875新台幣要捐贈給巴克幫浪犬之家(PACK Taiwan)，幫助數百隻需要幫助的狗。這群小學生認真學習並投入他們的社會科活動，而且還學會了回饋社區是多麼有意義。我們非常自豪他們的奉獻精神和努力工作，並感謝全校給予的支持！
