9/15 College Fair
Hsinchu American School is very excited to be hosting a trip to the first annual Counselors Association of Taiwan College Fair at Taipei American School on Saturday, September 15th, from 2:00PM - 5:00PM. There will be over 130 colleges attending from 16 different countries including Boston University, NYU, University of California and University of Toronto. Colleges and universities will set up booths and students will be able to meet with various college representatives and to learn more about each school.
This is a valuable opportunity for our students to learn more about individual schools, discover new university options, and get a clearer idea of what representatives are looking for in a student. The application process is about finding the right college for each individual student, and this will be a valuable chance for our students to get involved in the process.
Parents are also welcome (and encouraged) to attend this fair. Parental involvement is tremendously helpful to many students and it can also give you a clearer insight into the college application process, which can sometimes appear confusing or even daunting.Mr. Lines, our college counselor, welcomes the chance to get to know some of you better and to understand your hopes and expectations for your children’s applications.
