HAS Shines at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in South Korea!

Nine outstanding Hsinchu American School students – Reza (G9), Chung Tai (G6), Carrie (G8), Niels (G8), Shawn (G6), Ethan (G6), Allen (G12), Forster (G9), and Andrew (G10) – proudly represented our school at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Seoul, South Korea.

This exciting international event brought together hundreds of students from around the world for a celebration of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Our scholars competed in team debates, collaborative writing, and the Scholar’s Challenge, earning silver and gold medals in both writing and debate rounds. Their dedication and teamwork have earned them a spot in the final championship at Yale University later this year! 

Beyond the competitions, students immersed themselves in global connections — attending the Cultural Fair, where they explored and learned about different traditions, foods, and customs from fellow scholars representing countries around the world. They also enjoyed making new friends, experiencing the vibrant energy of the ceremonies, and sharing a delicious traditional Korean BBQ evening with parents and teachers.

It was a week filled with academic achievement, cultural discovery, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of our scholars for representing HAS with curiosity, courage, and global spirit. Yale, here we come!

我們的選手參加了團隊辯論、協作寫作以及學者挑戰賽，在寫作與辯論項目中榮獲 銀牌與金牌的佳績！

憑著滿滿的努力與團隊精神，他們成功取得年底前往耶魯大學參加總決賽的資格！除了比賽，學生們還收穫滿滿，在文化博覽會 上體驗來自世界各國的傳統、美食與文化、認識了許多新朋友、感受開幕與閉幕典禮的熱鬧氛圍、與家長、老師們一起享用美味的 韓式烤肉大餐

這真的是一週充滿 學術成就、文化探索與美好回憶 的旅程！
