High School Student Council

The High School Student Council is one of the longest-standing and most active student organizations at Hsinchu American School. Led by four elected Executive Officers and grade-level representatives, the council follows its own Constitution and works to enhance student life, promote school spirit, and organize key events such as dances and fundraisers. It also manages the student store and activities fund.

Working closely with the council are the Student Activities and Community Service committees, each led by elected chairs. The Student Activities committee hosts major events like Homecoming, Prom, and Sports Day, while the Community Service committee coordinates volunteer opportunities and charity fundraisers, supporting both graduation requirements and meaningful causes.

Middle School Student Council

Middle School Student Council is a club for our younger members of HAS. We help plan the middle school activities and events and we organize them! We have a lot of fun working together to plan the best activities that we can bring to teachers and students. We try to make the students’ semesters more fun and help them all to work together! According to Ikuno Sasaki, “This club is important because middle schoolers can show their school spirit and we can improve our school life!” Based on what Vicky Hsu said, “During club time, we test our limits of creativity through discussion and teamwork. Sometimes we even vote to make decisions which can improve our speaking and thinking skills!”

The Middle School Community Service invites students in grades 5-8 to join and plan service projects. MSCS is a great way to have fun and get involved in the community! Some events that we have completed are Nursing Home visits, garbage pick up in the Art Park and the 30 Hour Famine!
