Model United Nations
Hsinchu American School’s Model United Nations is a comprehensive, diplomacy, debate, and international relations research club. As a part of activities, students engage in mock debates to practice parliamentary procedure, research a large number of modern day issues that affect countries all over the world, draft formatted UN resolutions in an attempt to solve world problems, and ultimately participate in MUN conferences around Taiwan as well as internationally. HAS regularly sends student delegates to conferences in Taiwan like HSINMUN, HIMUN, TASMUN, and TAIMUN. Additionally, the school also participates THIMUN-Singapore.
Students

Model United Nations (MUN) is a global educational simulation where students role-play as diplomats representing different countries in international discussions. Participants engage in debates, draft resolutions, and collaborate to address pressing global issues, mirroring the real United Nations' processes.
MUN enhances critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy skills while fostering a deep understanding of international relations and global challenges. Conferences range from local school events to large international gatherings, providing students with the opportunity to network and develop leadership skills.
Whether you're a seasoned delegate or a newcomer, MUN offers a unique platform to explore global governance, engage in meaningful dialogue, and make a difference in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
